Cheryl-Headshot-REPLACEMENT-1Few saw it coming, but this past election gave birth to an historic opportunity for America to finally enact comprehensive and lasting immigration reform that will benefit, not just immigrants, but all of America. What seemed politically impossible only a year ago is now within our reach, if only for a fleeting moment in time – as Democrats have a political debt to pay and the Republicans a party to save.

We must seize this moment in history to ensure that we finally achieve immigration reform that is truly comprehensive in scope and practical to implement, and that enjoys enough political support to be lasting.  No organization is better equipped to help design such an outcome than AI Justice.

For 17 years Americans for Immigrant Justice has worked on the frontlines of the immigration issue, calling attention to the problems caused to our society as a whole as a result of the unworkable maze of current immigration laws and policies. From our frontline experience with how a bad law does not work, AI Justice has become expert on how a comprehensive, practical and lasting immigration law must work – to the benefit of all Americans and future generations of immigrants. We will work tirelessly with Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle, business, labor, law enforcement, immigrant rights organizations, and the faith-based community to ensure that any legislation embodies humane reform, including a direct path to citizenship, family reunification, protection for workers, due process, and the rule of law.

Sincerely,

Cheryl-sig-1-blue-web

Cheryl Little, Esq.
